Stunning Post Beam farmhouse on 34 private acres

This house is so much larger than it looks in the pictures! You should only stay here if you like clean, well-equipped, spacious, peaceful, comfortable, and homey places with incredible views! Within 30 minutes of everything Bar Harbor and Acadia has to offer without the “busy.”

Overall very nice! Worked well for our group of friends. The kitchen and common area are phenomenal, and the outdoor space was a big plus. About a 25 minute drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia.

We really enjoyed staying at this home on Mount Desert during the 4th of July. It was within 30 minutes of everything there is to do and see at Acadia National Park, including Bar Harbor. There were some hidden gem hiking and swimming spots on the west side of the island where the house is located. Jen was a great host. The house has a beautiful kitchen and open space on the first floor for both of our familes to hang out in. The movie room in the basement was a great place to watch some World Cup games. The window AC units in the two primary bedrooms were life savers when sleeping as we were in Maine during an extreme heat wave. The house got very hot when the outside temperatures where in the uppers 80s to 90s. I'm sure like most Maine houses, there is no central AC as it would rarely be needed. Once the temperatures cooled down during the latter part of our stay, the house was very comfortable. We don't fault the homeowners for an abnormally hot spell during our stay. The property was well maintained and our 4 boys had a great time running around and playing in all the space. The house was fully supplied with everything you may need and the grill worked great for our cookouts. Thanks, Jen, for helping us enjoy a memorable vacation to Maine. We defintely recommend this spot.
